SANTIAGO, Chile - (March 23, 2017) - Christie®, the world leader in creating and sharing the best visual and audio experiences, is pleased to announce that it has reached an agreement with Videocorp for this respected audiovisual integration company to act as its new integration partner in Colombia, Peru and Chile.

According to the terms of the agreement, Videocorp will be eligible to supply and integrate all Christie’s visualisation solutions in its installations in the industry, trade, education, health, transport, service centres and mining sectors, among others.

Created in Santiago de Chile 34 years ago, where its head offices are located, Videocorp currently has branches in the Chilean cities of Antofagasta, Viña del Mar, Concepción and Puerto Varas, and has an international presence via its offices in Lima (Peru), Mexico City, Bogotá (Colombia) and Miami (USA). The firm has 400 employees.

Pablo Psijas, commercial manager of Videocorp, commented: “Christie is a top notch manufacturer in the AV and digital cinema industry. For us, this agreement entails mixing the best projection, video and monitoring room products that Christie offers with the engineering, design and support contributed by Videocorp. It is a solid contribution to the market; a winning combination that will no doubt bring new challenges to the industry and mean added value for our customers. The future of digital cinema, electronic security and audiovisual projects is going to involve a lot of collaboration.”

In fact, Videocorp has recently installed the first Christie Phoenix® content management systems in Chile, specifically in the Antofagasta offices of Finning, a company that offers services in areas such as mining, construction, energy, forestry and the management of materials for industry.

Juan Carlos Chávez, Christie’s director for Latin America, says: “We are delighted to have a company with the experience and geographical reach of Videocorp at our side, as it will enable us to enhance our presence in Chile, Peru and Colombia. The diversity of Videocorp’s business is very important for Christie because it touches all our applications and verticals. What is more, it is a company with a major infrastructure and logistical knowledge, making all kinds of projects in the region viable.”

Videocorp offers personalised solutions in audiovisual integration, electronic security, broadcast-video professionals and education, with support and maintenance via an integrated service in all its projects. In audiovisual integration, for example, Videocorp is a point of reference in the trade for monitoring rooms, videoconferences, videowall, scheduling, automation and professional audio.
