AmpliVox Donation Promotes Business Education Program for Veterans

The Illinois Small Business Development Center at Governors State University (“SBDC – GSU”) presented its annual Veteran’s Entrepreneurial Boot Camp on November 13, supported by a significant donation of sound equipment by AmpliVox Sound Systems. AmpliVox donated portable PA systems valued at approximately $10,000, which carried the presentations of business experts with perfect clarity to over 150 attendees. The Boot Camp, offered free of charge to veterans, provided a full day of training sessions on business ownership as well as networking opportunities.

AmpliVox’s donation included its SW800 Titan Wireless Portable PA and SW915 Digital Audio Travel Partner. Both of these systems provide versatile, portable sound amplification with Bluetooth® streaming capability, rechargeable batteries, wireless mics, and built-in 16 channel UHF receivers. The SW800 includes a 100W amplifier to cover audiences of up to 2500 in rooms up to 10,000 square feet; the more powerful 250W amplifier on the SW915 fills rooms up to 25,000 square feet or audiences up to 7500. The equipment will be heavily used in future educational programs at the SBDC-GSU, including workshops, seminars, and other programs that promote small business and entrepreneurship.

“Our new sound equipment from AmpliVox will be incredibly useful to us for years to come,” noted Priscilla Cordero, SBDC—GSU Director. “Supporting veterans and other small business owners through education is a central part of our mission, and these sound systems make our programs more effective and enjoyable for all our attendees. We are very grateful to AmpliVox for its generous support.”

AmpliVox CEO Don Roth is proud to be associated with SBDC—GSU for its commitment to promoting veterans and other worthy groups. “I was impressed by the depth of educational opportunity that SBDC—GSU offers, completely free of charge to veterans,” commented Roth. “AmpliVox’s products are a perfect match for the wide variety of programs they sponsor, and we’re glad to stand with them as they work to promote the strength of small business in Illinois.”
