LAS VEGAS, June 9-11, 2010 – Jupiter Systems, the industry leader in display wall technology, today announced record achievements in sales, global market presence, product development and quality management in its most recently completed fiscal year.  In one of the most challenging business environments in recent history, Jupiter achieved its 18th consecutive year of profitability.

“The past two years have been a very challenging period for business worldwide,” said Eric Wogsberg, president of Jupiter Systems.  “Yet during this time, we continued to invest strategically in our business and that has benefitted both Jupiter and its customers.”

With its ongoing investments, Jupiter continues to expand its global presence, introduce new products, maintain and strengthen product quality and enhance its entire marketing and branding program.

An expanding global presence
Jupiter continued to experience strong sales around the world, including in the U.S., Europe, Latin America, and China.  Over the past two years, Jupiter’s high performance display wall processors were selected to help monitor and secure the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, the 2010 FIFA World Cup in South Africa, and the U.S.-Mexico border.  The U.S. Army, Navy, Marines and Air Force, the North Atlantic Treaty Organization, the Madrid-Barajas International Airport in Spain and the Narita and Osaka Airports in Japan also selected Jupiter solutions.

Jupiter was an early investor in China with a wholly owned subsidiary based in Shenzhen (Jupiter Systems China), one of that country’s fastest growing free trade zones.  In 2010 Jupiter expanded its presence with a new office in Beijing. Record Chinese investment in infrastructure – from highways to airports, power generation and distribution, mining, industry and security – continue to fuel strong economic growth.  With its early investments in China, a strong base of Chinese partners, and a portfolio of high quality, high performance products, Jupiter is well positioned for continued growth in this important market.

New product innovations

PixelNet® Series of Distributed Display Wall Systems
Since its introduction at InfoComm two years ago, Jupiter’s revolutionary PixelNet family of distributed high performance processors has generated strong demand across multiple industries.  PixelNet installations can be found in applications as diverse as Rio Tinto mining operations in Australia, U.S. Cellular telecommunications in Illinois, Pari Mutuel Urbain off-track betting in France, Puget Sound Energy in Washington State, and Guangdong Mobile in China. The product line of high performance, networked video display wall processors was introduced at InfoComm two years ago. Designed for scalability and flexibility, PixelNet makes creating complex topologies of inputs, outputs and switches simple, cost effective and future proof.

Fusion Catalyst™ Display Wall Processors
Fusion Catalyst™, introduced at InfoComm this year, ushers in a new era of performance and flexibility for collaborative visualization applications.

Offering a range of performance, reliability, cost effectiveness and space, Jupiter’s new Fusion Catalyst series provides an optimal solution for each customer’s specific requirements.  Fusion Catalyst Display Wall Processors offer higher resolution and greater bandwidth, more inputs and outputs --within the same space footprint.  It supports virtually any configuration requirement and extends the legacy of Jupiter’s high reliability at cost-effective prices. The new family of products comes with Jupiter’s richly featured ControlPoint Software, and can be integrated with PixelNet via Jupiter CatalystLink.

SVS-8 Streaming Video System
The Streaming Video System (SVS-8) is a compact, hardware-based solution to decode compressed video streams on a Jupiter display wall, or in standalone applications. The SVS-8 supports a mixture of camera, NVR, and DVR vendors, including installations with mixed transport and encoding methods.

With the SVS-8, Jupiter has created a compelling solution for installations that need to support the widest variety of encoding standards and vendors, while maintaining the flexibility to incorporate new future capabilities as required.

Certified quality management
In 2010, the company once again earned ISO 9001:2008 certification for its quality management system.  Jupiter Systems has been awarded ISO certification every year since 2005, when it first quali
