Point Vedra Beach, Florida–Transpo2010– December 12, 2010.  Jupiter Systems, the leading worldwide supplier of display wall processors for Traffic Management Center applications, announces that it has been added to the list of FDOT Qualified vendors.  Jupiter is the first and currently the only vendor of Display Wall Controller products to have achieved this milestone. (see link for approved vendors)

Additionally, Jupiter announces that it has developed a SunGuide interface for both its Fusion and new Fusion Catalyst lines of Display Wall Processors.  The interface will allow both existing and future installations of Fusion and Fusion Catalyst controllers to work seamlessly with SunGuide-enabled Traffic Management Centers.  The SunGuide interface, developed jointly by Jupiter and Southwest Research Institute, is slated for testing and certification by FDOT’s Traffic Engineering Research Laboratory (TERL) in early 2011.

“Jupiter Systems is investing heavily to meet the current and long term needs of Florida’s intelligent transportation infrastructure.,” said Brady O. Bruce,Vice President of Marketing and Strategic Alliances at Jupiter Systems.  “Achieving Qualified Vendor status plus the development of our SunGuide interface have been Jupiter’s goals for over a year.  With these two components in place, FDOT and other SunGuide-enabled sites now have many more options in Display Wall Controllers as well as a wider range of display vendors and systems integrators.  With increased options in product selection come greater innovation and competition, which benefits both Florida’s citizens and everyone in the Traffic Management community.”

Jupiter Systems, the leading worldwide supplier of display wall processors for traffic applications, is meeting the strong demand for traffic management systems.  Jupiter installations can already be found in the Florida’s Turnpike Enterprise, Manatee and Seminole County TMC’s, Mississippi DOT and Louisiana DOTD and in almost every U.S. state.  Jupiter Systems is a member of the ITS of America, and ITS of Florida.
