Jupiter Products Featured at InfoComm 2012, Booth No. C8036

LAS VEGAS--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Jupiter Systems, the industry leader in visualization and collaboration solutions for display walls and networked PCs, today announced that it will showcase its entire line of high performance display wall processors, including its new breakthrough Canvas multipoint collaborative visualization application, at InfoComm 2012. This powerful new product enables users to share content between control room display walls, PCs, and mobile devices anywhere on the network, providing full collaboration and security. In addition to Canvas, the Jupiter Systems booth will feature PixelNet®, Fusion Catalyst™ and VizionPlus II™ display wall processors.

“Jupiter has had an extraordinary year of product innovation, quality and growth,” said Brady O. Bruce, Vice President of Marketing and Strategic Alliances. “From delivering the game-changing product, Canvas, to record sales performance to continued investment in quality management, engineering and field sales support, we have had a record year of achievement. Our new booth, Jupiter’s largest yet for InfoComm, reflects that success.”

“For the first time, customers will be able to experience Canvas, Jupiter’s innovative new visualization and collaboration suite for enterprise-wide deployments and its full range of solutions focused on display wall control.”

Jupiter product families on display at the booth include:

Canvas, Multipoint Visualization and Collaboration for the Enterprise

Canvas is Jupiter’s network centric, collaborative, visualization suite for the enterprise. A Canvas installation consists of one or more Fusion Catalyst display wall controllers, PCs, or tablet PCs running the Canvas client software; a server running the Canvas server software; a LAN/WAN network; and streaming sources connected directly to the network. A rich set of collaborative tools enables distant users to interact from any location by drawing or typing directly on shared video streams or whiteboards.

Security is central to Canvas. Canvas supports Windows Single Sign On for user authentication. Administrators can restrict individual user access to the system, as well as its sources and features. Security at the object level eliminates the risk of inadvertent disclosure of content to those without appropriate security clearance.

Fusion Catalyst™, High Performance Visualization and Display for Display Walls

The Fusion Catalyst™ family of display wall processors delivers a new era of performance and flexibility for control room applications. Employing cutting edge, second generation PCI Express technology, Fusion Catalyst processors offer up to an astonishing 320 Gbps of bandwidth. That’s enough bandwidth to carry multiple ultra-high resolution video signals at a full 60 frames per second, drive ultra-high resolution monitors at a full 32 bits per pixel, and support virtually any configuration requirement.

Fusion Catalyst is not just a display wall processor, it’s also a PC with Intel CPUs and Windows 7 onboard. Customers can run mission-critical apps, access data through the network, engage the information, and collaborate on a wall-sized desktop.

PixelNet®, Distributed Display Wall System

PixelNet® continues to change the way people think about display wall processors. The distributed system uses a high-bandwidth dedicated packet-switched network to capture, distribute and display digital and analog video sources without compression. A PixelNet domain consists of any number of input channels and supports any number of outputs which can be arranged as multiple display walls and discrete monitors. Hundreds of inputs and outputs can be connected in a domain.

Using Jupiter’s non-blocking switch technology, any information source can be shown on any display, as a window on a single display, or as a window spanning multiple display devices in a display wall, and any source can be shown at any size on any display or array of displays.

VizionPlus II™, Command and Control for Military Applications

VizionPlus II™ is the newest version of the go-to display wall processor already deployed in thousands of US military installations worldwide. Ushering in a new era of performance and flexibility for command and control applications, VizionPlus II employs cutting edge, second generation PCI Express technology, delivering enough bandwidth to carry multiple ultra-high resolution video signals at a full 60 frames per second, drive ultra-high resolution monitors and support virtually any configuration requirement. VizionPlus II is also a PC, with an Intel Core 2 Duo CPU, 4 GB of RAM, and a 320 GB hard drive. (A 128 GB solid state drive is available as an option.) Customers can run mission critical apps, access data through the network, engage the information, and collaborate on a wall-sized desktop. Specially designed for military use, the VizionPlus II is employed in both fixed and mobile command centers from Washington, D.C. to Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.

Jupiter product families are also on display at the following InfoComm 2012 exhibitor booths: AMX (Booth Number: C4808), Mitsubishi Electric Visual Solutions America (Booth Number: C8308), and Winsted Corporation (Booth Number: C8316).
