Sony brings to the market new high brightness, full featured E-series projectors

The new E500 and E400 Series projectors offer high brightness and intuitive ease of use, ideally suited for mid-sized classrooms and meeting rooms

Park Ridge, N.J., Feb. 7, 2017 — Sony is expanding its line of 3LCD portable projectors with seven new E-series models, 4300lm to 3100lm with a choice of XGA and WXGA resolutions for the education and corporate markets. The new projectors are ideal for B2B applications including mid-sized classrooms and meeting rooms, and where popular display solutions prove unsuitable due to budget constraints and/or where larger image size is needed. The new range underlines Sony's commitment to deliver stunning image quality, enduring brightness and low running costs to meet customers' needs.

The new E-series includes the following 7 models: VPL-EW578, VPL-EW575, VPL-EW455, VPL-EW435, VPL-EX575, VPL-EX455, and VPL-EX435.

The new models feature a 20,000:1 contrast ratio and Sony's 3LCD BrightEra™ technology to deliver high image quality and natural, vivid color reproduction. The projectors all have a compact design and an array of functions, such as low fan noise, wireless connectivity and auto power on, to ensure smooth, quiet and reliable ease of use.

The Sony range of portable projectors are lightweight, durable, easy-to-use and reliable, combining high performance with low total cost of ownership.

The new E-series models are an ideal partner for today's integrated AV/IT environments. They expand customers' connectivity options with dual HDMI ports for laptops, Chromecast™ and Miracast™ connections, and an IP Control function to easily operate multiple projectors in one room at the same time, making them ideal for shared spaces.  The Wi-Fi option enables presenters to share content wirelessly directly from laptops and the VPL-EW578 even comes with an HDBaseT™ connection – the smallest chassis projector in the market to include this connectivity feature.

"The continued evolution of our popular E Series is Sony's commitment to our partners to provide a full featured projector line-up," said Yoshi Koike, marketing manager for business projectors at Sony Electronics. "The new E500 and E400 series bring to the market a robust and cost-effective range that is easy-to-use and reliable while offering good picture quality for mid-sized classrooms and meeting room environments."

The VPL-EX575, VPL-EX455 and VPL-EX435 are planned to be available in April, while the VPL-EW578, VPL-EW575, VPL-EW455 and VPL-EW435 are planned to be available in May.
