Jupiter Names Robert Worthington New CFO
 
New VP brings leadership to worldwide marketing and business development functions
 
Hayward, CA. – October 2, 2008 -- Jupiter Systems (www.jupiter.com), the industry leader in display wall processors, today announced the selection of Robert Worthington as Chief Financial Officer.  Worthington will be responsible for all financial, accounting, human resources, legal and facilities operations for the organization as well as corporate development.
 
“Bob Worthington brings a depth of experience in finance, administration, corporate development and international experience to the Jupiter executive team,” said Eric Wogsberg, founder and CEO.  “He has helped to run and build several successful companies and position them for rapid growth.  He will play a vital role in our next phase of global expansion.”

Robert Worthington joined Jupiter Systems from Go.edu, Inc., a privately-held K-12 enterprise applications company. There he was Chief Executive officer (CEO), recruited to turn around the company after becoming Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in 2005. At GO.EDU, he redirected product differentiation efforts, successfully transitioning the company from client server application to a software-as-a-service (SaaS) application, increasing the customer base, slashing operating costs, and completing the company sale.
 
From 2003 - 2004, Worthington served as CFO and Interim CEO of NanoMuscle Inc., a designer and manufacturer of advanced motion technologies for use in a wide range of consumer devices.  There he oversaw the finance and accounting, human resources, legal, and administration departments while setting up research and development and sales offices in Hong Kong and Shenzhen, China. 
 
Proir that (2001 – 2003), Worthington served as the Vice President of Finance and Administration at Cascade Works, Inc. a developer of enterprise software procurement services that was purchased by Elance Inc. in 2003.  There he served as the financial lead on a new C-round financing, created a pricing matrix and review mechanisms, managed software revenue recognition, lead negotiations with customers contracts, and played a key role in negotiating the sale of the company.
 
Worthington also held finance and account positions at mPower Inc., E*TRADE Group, Inc., Shamrock Materials, Inc., and KPMG.
 
Worthington completed his MBA from the Hass School of Business, University of California, Berkeley and his B.S. in Accounting from the University of Kentucky.  He is a California Board of Accountancy, Certified Public Accountant, and served for 15 years in the U.S. Army on active and reserve duty as an enlisted solider and officer.
